Here is a quick guide on how to find skateparks near you..

1.  Open the Sk8Loc8 Home page and you will see the map.

2. If you know where you are by looking at the map, click on your location.  If you do not, skip to step 3.

You can use the zoom and pan tools on the left of the map to move it around.  Alternatively you can use your mouse.

3.  If you do not know where you are on the map you can type your town, village, state, country or even your house number and street into the search box on the bottom left of the map…..

All search results will appear in the middle of the map, click on the one that matches the place you are looking for…

4.  Now that your desired location is selected a balloon will pop up.  Choose the ‘Find nearby spots’ option and Sk8Loc8 will search for skateparks in the surrounding area.  The results will be displayed as pins on the map…

5.  The info bar at the top tells you how many parks were found (in this case 67), and the results box on the right shows them as a list.  You can now either click the pins for more info or click a skatepark name in the results box on the right.  Doing either will results in an info Balloon popping up for that skatepark….

6.  Clicking the skatepark name opens up a new window with all the information about the park.  Zoom close does exactly what you expect it to do.

7.  The info window shows you what information Sk8Loc8 has about the park, and more importantly you have the option to add what you know, and also upload any pictures of the skatepark that you own….

Please remember that when you submit information or pictures we have to manually review it first.  This can take anything from 2 to 48 hours.
